Located in Punta Campanella, between the Amalfi Coast and The Sorrento Peninsula there are several trails you can hike in order to escape the frenzy of the coast. The name Athena comes from Greek mythology. Athena was in fact the goddess protecting merchants and seafarers.

These hikes can be a great way to explore the Amalfi Coast from a different perspective and they are highly recommended for people who stay in Sorrento.
All trails begin at Termini (Massa Lubrense), arrive at or above Punta Campanella and climbs up to Monte San Costanzo through various paths surrounded by the incredible flora and beautiful panoramas on Capri, the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast.

Depending on your level of fitness, this tour can be perfectly tailored as it is possible to choose an easier route and also a more challenging trail.

    In the little square of Termini.

    You can reach Termini by bus or taxi. The little town of Termini is about 30 minutes far from Sorrento and 1 hour from Positano by car.

    He lower trail is moderate while the upper trail is challenging.

    Hiking or running shoes. For safety reasons Sandals, flip flops, ballerinas and flat shoes without any traction are strictly forbidden.

    Comfortable and sturdy pants, a top or a t-shirt, a light jacket in case of clouds, a hat and sunglasses. We recommend to bring water and a sun screen cream.

    The lower path is suitable for under 10 years old kids while we do not recommend to hike the upper path for everybody.
